Working at El Corte Inglés…
Christmas season arrived.
Ya sabes.
Companies give a “little shit gift” to their employees,
como una especie de “sorry por el shitty salary,
las horas extras y el trato regulinchi.”
Corporate cariño, pero sin cariño.
Anyway.
This place was next level.
O sea, SUPERIOR.
El Corte Inglés has a giant warehouse full of random crap:
things they can’t sell anymore,
descatalogado stuff,
things nobody wants,
things that are basically defective vibes.
So
what do they do?
I imagine the reunión,
con Don Isidoro bien venido arriba:
Someone suggests:
“Why don’t we give everyone a Christmas basket?
You know, the ones El Corte Inglés sells…”
And Don Isi goes:
“No hombre no.
Don’t we have… like… una tontería por ahí?”
And someone says:
“Sir, we have an ENTIRE warehouse of tonterías.”
And he’s like:
“Perfecto.
Put whatever in a bag… y se lo regalas.”
Bueno.
Ese año…
Someone actually thought it was a GREAT idea
to put in that bag…
NO te imaginas qué.
NO te lo imaginas...
[...]
Think:
What can I give that’s actually valuable?
Think, honey.
Mira, el tema es muy interesting.
Tomorrow I’ll tell you:
What can you actually give away to capture emails?
Te lo cuento aquí...
